Whitehall Demolition Project

EcoWise Civil Design and Consulting, Inc. (EcoWise) provided demolition plans to Southern Demolition and Environmental for the removal of demolition debris at 529 and 535 Whitehall Street. The pre-existing warehouse buildings had been demolished, but the debris remained behind.

The demolition plans showed the extent of the work to be done, specific erosion control measures to protect the City roads and nearby properties from dust and stormwater runoff.  The removal of the debris improved the property value and eliminated an eyesore.

Capital City Club Maintenance Building

EcoWise Civil Design and Consulting provided civil engineering design services and agency permitting assistance to Constructive Ingenuity, LLC on behalf of the Capital City Club to facilitate the construction of a new maintenance facility on the Brookhaven golf course property.

The approximately 154-acre property had been renovated in 2007 to update the golf course and provide storm water containment in an on-site lake.  The addition of the maintenance facility required pavement demolition, utility connections, erosion control, and additional water quality treatment.  EcoWise worked with the client and the property owner to provide a cost-effective water quality solution with a minimal footprint to protect a nearby stream.

In addition to designing the civil site plans, EcoWise assisted the client with coordinating between disciplines and permitting the structural, architectural and MEP plans through the City of Atlanta.

Taylor Road Middle School/Chattahoochee High School Culvert

EcoWise Civil Design and Consulting, Inc. (EcoWise) provided construction plans for the replacement of a culvert that was washed out in the floods of 2009.  The scope of work included defining the drainage area leading to the crossing, quantifying the flow of water passing through the culvert for the 1-year through 100-year storms, sizing the culvert, and specifying erosion control measures to ensure the stream stayed clean during the culvert installation.  The project was conceptualized, managed, and completed by a very ambitious teenager hoping to become an Eagle Scout (he was successful)!
